today that the goods and services tax (GST) for mobile
prepaid reloads will be imposed based on customers'
usage, ending the month-long confusion that started
since the implementation of the consumption tax.

Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Shabery Cheek said customers
who pay RM10 for the prepaid reload will receive RM10
						worth of mobile services value.
  "GST charges
will be based on the usage. The government feels this is
more suitable because consumers are not taxed before
using the services," he told reporters in Putrajaya
						today.

He said Putrajaya wants telcos to adhere to the new
implementation of GST on mobile prepaid reload within
						six months. |

"To balance the effects of GST implementation, the
